Alex Anthony has become a radio institution in Ashtabula and Lake Counties.
Alex grew up on a dairy farm in Austinburg and performed morning chores listening to Garth Cornell on WFUN. After ten years as a mechanic, he decided to try something new and attended Ohio School of Broadcasting. He interned at WQAL and was hired as morning show producer for Larry Morrow. He then got an on air shift at WBKC in Painesville where he worked with WKKY’s current Sales Manager, Clarence Bucaro. He spent the next 13 years at 102-ZOO as morning drive host. Now at the age of 41 he is working with Garth and Clarence again and with his friend Hoss.
Alex believes that there are many negative influences in life. He strives to be a positive and uplifting influence with his classic daily sign off …
“Always remember. No matter how bad things seem, you will get over it and … LIFE IS GOOD!”
Listen to Alex every midday during the work week from 10 AM to 2 PM. |
