The cost-cutting at NFL Network has led to one prominent host being let go.
Prominent NFL Network and host Rachel Bonnetta have parted ways, according to Andrew Marchand of the New York Post.
The 31-year-old Bonnetta fell victim to staff-trimming measures at the network after a swift rise that led to her nearly replacing Kay Adams on Good Morning Football, one of the station’s premier shows.
Instead, Jamie Erdahl landed the position after Bonnetta pushed back on relocating from Los Angeles to New York to become Adams’s replacement.
Bonnetta had one year remaining on her deal, which was bought out by the network according to the report. She became the second prominent NFL Network employee in as many days to part ways with the league-owned television platform, joining reporter Jim Trotter, whose contract was not renewed.
Bonnetta spent two years at NFL Network after spending the early part of her television career with FS1.
