After Jayson Tatum’s dominant 51-point performance in the Celtics’ Game 7 win over the 76ers on Sunday, the forward had a quick message for famous Sixers fan Kevin Hart.
“Special shoutout to Kevin Hart,” Tatum said. “You know, I want him to still answer my phone calls even after today. No hard feelings.”
The comedian, who is a Philadelphia native, was obviously upset about his favorite team being eliminated from the playoffs. But he still managed to be gracious while congratulating Tatum. Well, sort of.
“All right, I’m hurt. The world knows it. I don’t have to hide it,” Hart said in a video response posted to Instagram. “But, I’m not a sore loser. It’s not about how you win, it’s how you lose, and I’m going to lose like a man. … Jayson Tatum, I hate it but I have to give you the props. I gotta congratulate you, my friend. You are the true competitor that you proved to be today. You showed up. You showed out. You shoved your foot in our a–.”

Hart went on to open a bottle of his Gran Coramino tequila and congratulated Tatum and the Celtics for advancing to the Eastern Conference finals. He mumbled parts of the congratulatory message, clearly still frustrated with the 76ers’ loss.
“But, what I’m going to do is celebrate you, brother,” Hart said. “I hope you’re proud of yourself, you f—— a–h—.”
Tatum’s 51 points scored on Sunday marked the highest Game 7 point total in NBA history.
