When the Jets vs. Browns Hall of Fame Game went completely dark on Thursday night, NBC wasted no time panning the camera over to quarterback Aaron Rodgers. As one could imagine, the photo of Rodgers, who was just minding his own business on the sidelines, immediately went viral as players and fans waited for the lights in Canton, Ohio to come back on.
It was the perfect setup for literally every “darkness retreat” joke that NFL fans may have been sitting on (or firing off publicly) about Rodgers. As you can imagine, the comments poured in once the following photo hit the internet.
Some of the lights have gone off at the stadium, and the #Jets–#Browns game is now in a delay.

The Jets and Browns were even hit with a few of their own jabs in the process.
