1. One of the good things that’s come out of the Travis Kelce–Taylor Swift romance is a prank that has gone viral on TikTok this week.
The setup is fairly simple. Women start a conversation with their football-loving husbands, boyfriends, fathers, coworkers, brothers, etc., by saying some variation of, “Can you believe Taylor Swift has put Travis Kelce on the map?” or “Can you believe Taylor Swift has made Travis Kelce famous?”
Naturally, the men react in either shock, horror, anger or dumbfoundedness. (I honestly have no idea if that’s a word, but I’m using it, anyway.)
Here are some of the more amusing videos I’ve seen over the past couple of days.
• This is actually Knicks forward Julius Randle falling victim to the prank but giving us a great reaction.

• This dude went for the jugular by implying that the Swifties are delusional.

• This guy was not having it and was downright aggressive.

• This husband couldn’t handle his wife telling him that now people will draft Travis Kelce in fantasy football.

• This guy had the best line out of anyone in these videos, saying, “He’s literally one of like six white boys that’s accepted by the Black community.”

• The girlfriend in his video asked the guy whether he’d heard about “Kelce Travis” dating Taylor Swift, and his expression was priceless.

2. A brand-new SI Media With Jimmy Traina dropped this morning, and it features a conversation with New York Post sports columnist Andrew Marchand about the latest sports media news and story lines.
Topics discussed include ABC/ESPN using staggered start times for their Monday Night Football doubleheaders, how the Pat McAfee–ESPN marriage is going, the Deion Sanders effect on college football, Chris “Mad Dog” Russo’s viral cocktail/gambling/gummy moment on First Take, a New York radio fight, the expected move for WWE’s Monday Night Raw and much more.
Following Marchand, Sal Licata from WFAN radio and SNY TV in New York joins me for our weekly “Traina Thoughts” segment. This week, we discuss Sal’s NFL-watching dilemma, whether the NFL should ban the Eagles’ push play, single-game streaming costs, bizarre Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce prop bets and more.

3. It looks like we have a heavyweight media battle on our hands. After Adrian Wojnarowski broke the news of Damian Lillard getting traded to the Bucks on Wednesday, The Ringer’s Ryen Russillo called out Dan Le Batard, who said in July that Woj was “bought and paid for by Portland.”
So, Damian Lillard is going to Milwaukee.
If there’s one thing this saga has taught us, @ryenarussillo says it’s that sometimes it’s OK for a team to wait: pic.twitter.com/riUT1LZQFk

It’s hard to argue with Russillo on that one.
4. I’m with the Cubs’ announcers on this one. On Wednesday, Atlanta’s Ronald Acuna Jr. stole his 70th base of the season, to give him a 40 home run–70 stolen base season. The Braves decided to mark the occasion by stopping the game and running a video montage in the stadium. This did not sit well with Boog Sciambi and Jim Deshaies, who were calling the game locally in Chicago. Given that the Cubs are fighting for a playoff spot in the last week of the season, you can’t stop the game to run a video package. If the game was meaningless, fine. But there was too much on the line for the game to be stopped.
“We’re really stopping the game to do a highlight montage?”

5. The Ryder Cup begins Friday. One golfer you’ll see in action for the American team is Sam Burns, who yesterday recalled the story of how he found out he was selected to the squad while on the toilet. In his words, “I’m, like, mid-poop and then I start crying because he just told me I’m invited.”

6. Steph Curry recently said he’s the best point guard in NBA history. SiriusXM’s Adam Schein recently interviewed Magic Johnson and asked him about Curry’s claim. The question sent Magic into hysterical laughter.
I asked Magic Johnson today about Steph saying he was best point guard of all-time and Magic laughed and laughed and laughed. 🤣🤣🤣I couldn’t even finish the question.
So great. It’s Magic, obviously.

7. RANDOM VIDEO OF THE DAY: I saw a pig parker this morning.
I’m shook. Just walked out of my diner and saw the all-time worst pig parker in the history of the United States. pic.twitter.com/RkPICko29V
