Bryce Harper had himself a night in Game 3 of the Braves–Phillies NLDS, hitting two massive home runs in Philadelphia’s 10-2 victory at home.
The Phillies now need just one more win to send the Braves, who won 104 games this season, home and set up a date with the Diamondbacks in the NLCS.
Things got personal for Harper in Wednesday night’s win, as he was seen staring down Braves shortstop Orlando Arcia after each of his home runs. Harper didn’t like something Arcia said about him after Game 2 and made his feelings known each time he rounded the bases.
The Braves radio booth of Ben Ingram and Joe Simpson didn’t like it:

Harper said after the game that he was just having fun with Arcia:
Harper asked “you seem to stare a little longer at Arcia going around second base?” It’s a game. It’s fun. It’s a lotta fun. That’s what it’s all about.”

MLB fans were not impressed with the Braves’ radio booth:
LOL these gotta be the softest announcers Arcia shouldn't have poked the bear but he did and now yall are watching what happens https://t.co/cMB3MJOp5k

That’s what you get when you make comments about another player. B https://t.co/LqfnVmKCk3

Harper is a professional athlete looking for a reason to get hype and motivate his team. This is the softest take. https://t.co/EetjatsvRc

Basically “They turned Arcia ‘saying something disparaging of Harper’ to a level that it never should’ve been.”
“Heaven forbid” that an athlete hold another accountable for running his mouth. https://t.co/HeJq3XJTwY

And yet Arcia admitted to it after the game. The Atlanta Braves fanbase, for whatever reason, believes they are on this untouchable pedestal & everyone sits below them.
Hope they enjoy their trip home for the offseason tonight. https://t.co/AHRmFd1OXc

Very hard to be more unlikable than the Braves right now https://t.co/lnSkrwh5Uq

If the series goes back to Atlanta, they should present Bryce Harper with a nice video montage in the middle of the game to make up for it. https://t.co/4cqruAhntx

This is the same team that clowned on the Cubs broadcasters for not approving of the montage in extra innings https://t.co/DKvvVNY81L

If you don't like it, stop it. If you can't stop it, admire it. If you can't admire it, keep it down so everyone else can enjoy the show. https://t.co/X8RFJMY27E

Braves legit stopped the game in extra innings during a playoff chase to play a highlight reel and let Acuna pick up the base. Not saying the Cubs would've won if it hadn't happened, but it was obnoxious. You can give it and not take it. Full respect to the Phillies and Harper. https://t.co/9SoZkceA7m
