Following Bryce Harper’s second home run on Wednesday night, a 414-foot solo shot in the fifth inning to give the Phillies a six-run lead over the Braves in Game 3 of their NL Division Series, fans at Citizens Bank Park couldn’t contain their excitement.
Not only were the Phillies on their way to taking a 2-1 series lead and putting themselves on the cusp of an NLCS berth, but it came against the 104-win division rival Braves—the best team in baseball during the regular season.
With that rivalry in mind, Phillies fans sarcastically broke into Atlanta’s Tomahawk Chop cheer just for the occasion.

If the Phillies are able to close out the Braves at home on Thursday night, it would mark the fourth team with at least 99 regular-season wins to be eliminated this postseason.
A Philadelphia win would also cement a matchup with the Diamondbacks in the NLCS. As for the ALCS, the matchup has been set between the Astros and Rangers following Houston’s 3–2 victory over Minnesota on Wednesday night to eliminate the Twins.
