It’s a spooky slate of games this Halloween weekend, and we mean scary in its dearth of big matchups. But some football is still a treat no matter how many tricks are on the schedule.
All times Eastern. Watch college football with Fubo.
Definitely good
Oregon vs. Utah (3:30 p.m., Fox)
Oregon under Dan Lanning has made it a point of pivoting its identity into something physical and resilient. Enter Utah, built to break that mentality as best it can with a Swiss-army knife of tools that it just makes work on the football field. Last year the Ducks handled the Utes—can they do it again?
Sneaky good (or at least with something of notable intrigue)
Oklahoma vs. Kansas (12 p.m., Fox)
The Jayhawks have found that maybe they can run a complete offense with quarterback Jason Bean. Oklahoma showed the country it was up for the challenge against Texas but sputtered against UCF. Which Sooners will show up Saturday?
Florida vs. Georgia (3:30 p.m., CBS)
The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party has been a little one-sided of late, as Georgia has risen to college football’s litmus test. The Gators have had a week off and won’t have to deal with tight end Brock Bowers. Can they stun the Dawgs?
Colorado vs. UCLA (7:30 p.m., ABC)
The Coach Prime show may have lost a little steam in the last few weeks, but a trip to Hollywood to take on UCLA should bring the stars out. Are Deion Sanders and these Buffs ready for prime time against a physical Bruins squad?
UNLV vs. Fresno State (10:30 p.m., FS1)
The Rebels are a surprising 6–1, and this is a key conference game to see who will challenge Air Force down the stretch for the Mountain West title. Jeff Tedford has the Bulldogs in a position to succeed this season. We shouldn’t be surprised.
Well, it’s certainly better than watching not football
- FSU vs. Wake Forest (12 p.m., ABC)
- Clemson vs. NC State (2 p.m., CW)
- Wyoming vs. Boise State (5:30 p.m., FS2)
- Oregon State vs. Arizona (10:30 p.m., ESPN)
