He is the man of the hour in North American sports—one of the month’s biggest newsmakers, non-Kelce division.
And just when you thought his legend couldn’t expand any more, Rangers right fielder Adolis García—to swipe from Creed—took it higher.
García smacked a walk-off home run to win Game 1 of the World Series Friday evening in the bottom of the 11th inning, giving Texas its first Series victory in 12 years, five days after he was named ALCS MVP.
The two-time All-Star finished the Rangers’ 6–5 triumph over the Diamondbacks 3-for-4, with his final flourish drawing praise from a baseball world he holds in the palm of his hand.
The man of the moment was feted with the meme of the moment.

The denizens of the Dallas-Fort Worth area celebrated García passing former Cardinals third baseman David Freese—Texas’s conqueror in the 2011 World Series—for most RBIs in a single postseason.

Fans consecrated the game as an instant classic.
From Corbin Carroll’s game tying triple, to game tying bases juiced walk for the Rangers, to DBacks taking 2 run lead until the 9th inning, to Corey Seager game tying nuke, to Adolis Garcia walkoff oppo taco…
That might’ve been one of the best World Series game 1 ever played.
