The Kansas City Chiefs will host the Miami Dolphins in a wild-card playoff game Saturday, and fans are livid.
Why?
Because it will only be aired on Peacock, which means you’re going to need to pay money to see it if you don’t already subscribe to NBC’s streaming service.
There is one interesting storyline to this—Taylor Swift. The pop star has been attending Chiefs games throughout the season, thanks to her relationship with Travis Kelce. That had fans thinking the NFL and NBC might have picked Kansas City on purpose for the Peacock game, because that could lead to a lot of people spending money on the service.
That led to jokes:
Peacock- “who are we going to put on for the playoffs? NFL fans are just going to pirate it, how can we get subs?”
NFL- “Say…what if we put on KC and make sure Taylor Swift will be there. The Swifties will pay for anything”

Maybe #TaylorSwift can just buy Peacock and put it on for free so we can all watch. https://t.co/VDt2br9gZs
