And then there were none.
On Tuesday night, Iowa State took down No. 2 Houston 57–53, delivering the Cougars their first loss of the season.
With the win, the Cyclones didn’t just take out an undefeated school—they took out the last remaining undefeated school in D-I men’s college basketball.
The victory came in front of a raucous home crowd at the Hilton Coliseum, with Iowa State needing every second of the game to secure victory.
Freshman forward Milan Momcilovic delivered the go-ahead shot with just 30 seconds left to play on an astounding turnaround jumper against a double team, and the Cyclones would hold on for one more defensive possession before ending the game on made free throws.
