‘Since I started here in WWE, I wanted an action figure so bad,’ she says.
Funko is unveiling new collectibles as part of its Funko Fair, which concludes with a new WWE line.
The new WWE collection features Rhea Ripley, Rocky Maivia, Bianca Belair, Hulk Hogan, Mr. T, Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase, Matt Riddle, Randy Orton, Jerry “The King” Lawler, Dusty Rhodes and Cody Rhodes.
Only days removed from winning the Royal Rumble, Ripley announced on Raw that she will be challenging Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown women’s title at WrestleMania 39, which will be a rematch of their bout from WrestleMania 36. On the cusp of the most meaningful match of her career, she is now also immortalized in Funko Pop form.
“Since I started here in WWE, I wanted an action figure so bad,” says Ripley, who is 26-year-old Demi Bennett. “I definitely wanted a Funko Pop. And she’s such a little badass.”
The Funko Pop is a detailed version of Ripley in her Judgment Day gear. That is especially appropriate, as this particular run alongside Finn Bálor, Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio has been the most compelling stretch of her career.
“I’ve loved Funko Pops since I was younger,” says Ripley. “I had so many Dragon Ball Z ones, and so many Vegeta ones in general. It’s wild that I’ve actually turned into one. I’ve been waiting for this for a long time.”
