Well played, Jets.
Aaron Rodgers went on the Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday and with nearly half a million people watching, he explained why he no longer wants to play for the Packers and why he intends on playing with the Jets.
Rodgers explained in detail how his time “in the darkness”—the darkness retreat he embarked on in late February—played a part in his decision to play another year in the NFL. He said Green Bay made it pretty clear to him after the retreat that the team wanted to move on from him as their quarterback.
That’s when Rodgers said he wants to play for the Jets and he’s waiting for the two sides to agree on a trade to get it done. New York was watching and fired off a perfect tweet in response:
Well played, Jets.
