D’Andre Swift trade rumors have bubbled up throughout the NFL draft, after the Lions used the No. 12 pick to select Alabama running back Jahmyr Gibbs. On Saturday, as with the fourth round underway, Detroit found a trade partner for the former Georgia star: the Eagles, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that the Lions will receive a 2025 fourth-round pick and will move up in today’s seventh-round.
As Schefter notes, the 24-year-old Swift is a Philadelphia native, making the deal a homecoming for the newest Eagles rusher.
Trade: After using their top pick on RB Jahmyr Gibbs, the Lions are trading D’Andre Swift to the Philadelphia Eagles, per sources. The trade is a homecoming; Swift is from Philadelphia and went to high school there at St. Joseph’s Prep before attending, of course, Georgia.
