Joe Flacco was never known for being the most mobile quarterback. Listed at 6’6″, 245 pounds, he hardly ever tucked the ball and ran, even in his younger years. But now, with his 39th birthday just two weeks away, he’s got an opportunity to show that he’s more athletic than people might think.
On one play in last week’s game against the New York Jets, Flacco faced a heavy pass rush but was somehow able to spin out of the pocket and complete a throw on the run to Jerome Ford, who scurried 40 yards after the catch for a touchdown.
It was a remarkable play that left even Flacco’s teammates in awe.

“I didn’t know you could run like that,” one Cleveland staffer told Flacco.
“Inspiring, bro,” receiver Marquise Goodwin told him.
He’s almost 40 and he spent the first two months of the season sitting on his couch waiting for a team to call, but Flacco is proving that he’s still got it.
