If the Golden State Warriors‘ 113-112 win over the Phoenix Suns on Saturday proved anything beyond the on-court result, it demonstrated that a détente between Warriors forward Draymond Green and Suns center Jusuf Nurkić is unlikely for the foreseeable future.
After needing to be separated in the first half, the two parties took shots at each other through the press after the game. Nurkić said Green “didn’t learn anything” from his indefinite suspension incurred for elbowing the Suns center on Dec. 12, while Green replied that “quiet guys [like Nurkić] don’t win.”
On Tuesday afternoon, Nurkić made fun of Green on social media.
“All good bad boy just don’t stay (too) long on podcast, gonna be late for therapy session,” he wrote.
Green responded by ripping Nurkić to shreds on his podcast, monologuing for almost seven minutes.

“Following the game, the little guy goes in the media and he says, ‘I take my words back,” Green said. “Frankly, I’d like to know why it’s only a matter of time before I hit someone else, because I destroyed him.”
Green played well Saturday, tallying 15 points, seven rebounds and nine assists against six points, six rebounds and four assists for Nurkić.
“What happened in the game that would make you say that, other than you getting embarrassed because you’re just not good enough?” Green asked. “He starts to question my character. What a coward.”
